Haiku 149

Molasses clockhands
Dripping despair down onto
My frozen desktop

The necessary
Beauty of the harsh and spare:

Your haiku is the only harmony in that double exhibit, which I saw here at the Smithsonian.

I love the spare beauty of adobe churches, much as I do the whitewashed old New England churches. But why did you call it necessary? Because they were built out of what was available?

It seems that exhibit has been everywhere before stopping here -- I've heard rumors of a Santa Fe stop also.

Did you not like the exhibit? I thought it worked really well. I can't wait to go back.

V, That's one possible reason. You don't think I'm just going to give you all the answers, do you?
