Haiku 146

Low sunlight shafts shoot
Hallucinatory green
Through the jumpy leaves

This one appeals to me a lot. There is a creek that I walk by every day when I go for my exercise. I enjoy looking at the dappled sunlight coming through the reeds and bouncing off of the water. Lots of little pockets of light and shade where fish and dragonflies can hang out.

I liked no. 144 too although I had to look up the reference. I took an art appreciation class in college. We watched a lot of slides in the dark so I tended to doze a bit. I love the colors in this painting though and the softness of the light.

I saw the dragonfly mention in a recent entry on your blog -- it's a very arts-and-crafts-movement motif!
