Our lips used to meet
But these days we seldom do
The birds have flown south

I love this one! I also like your use of the word "arabesque" as a verb in one of your later haikus. Your haikus are getting quite good at capturing a piercing emotion in such a short number of words.

Why thank you! Distilling emotions into a few words or images is the goal, so I'm glad to hear I'm reaching it -- I'm trying to strike a balance between dashing them off and laboring the life out of them -- the daily posting helps with that. Thanks once again, Internet!
