We went to SFMOMA yesterday and renewed my Senior Membership with a special coupon received in the mail offering me 14 months for the price of 12 if I would rejoin. However, redeeming the coupon required a visit by the sweet elderly ticket dude to the manager in the back and a long process for him to click on the right box on the computer. Meanwhile, a line of about 50 people were glaring at me because I was taking so long (I would have been doing the same). It also turned out that the day after Christmas was insane at SFMOMA because everybody decided this was the day they were going to attend, and there was a line of about 100 people to get through to the elevators. So we decided to return on another afternoon when the lumpen mass was doing something else. Looking forward to it on your recommendation.

What weirdness -- it takes just minutes to get a senior Clipper Card; you just show you ID, load some money on it, & off you go! Yes, go back when the museum is less crowded (but avoid the first Thursday of the month, when it's free & therefore jammed).
