I just got back from the San Francisco Symphony, where I heard Michael Tilson Thomas conduct a vibrant and heartening performance of Mahler's Symphony No 2 in C minor (often known as the "Resurrection"). The clueless bitch two seats down from me spent, as far as I could tell, the entire performance playing with various electronic devices.
