This haiku depressed me, and I realized it was the word "drift" that did it. It points out that you have a certain amount of control of what you do and where you go every day, but none over what actually happened, and you can't go back and change it.
Thanks for noticing. To depress you further, both you and I actually have very little control over where we spend the majority of our time. Well, maybe I should just speak for myself.
