Coughing and sneezing
Swollen red eyes, runny nose
My hair is perfect

I like this one!

I do like the opposing thoughts here.

No memo in sight.
Opera talk now no more?
Rush to fill the void.
Crying, screaming, void filling.

OK, so I am not going to win any prizes here. Did I at least come close?

As I well know, perfect hair always means you're a couple of days from needing a haircut. Such is life.

It's all about the hair, isn't it?

Jolene, I was thinking about you yesterday because a co-worker told me (out of the blue) that she had just bought tickets to the new Swan Lake at SF Ballet, which made me think I should get some tickets (though carefully avoiding Fancy Free, because I don't need to see that three years in a row). Anyway I now associate you with SF Ballet.

V, there are various types of perfection, so I feel confident that I can put off my next haircut for several more months.

Miss Libby, Uh, yes, there will be opera and theater talk a-plenty. I have at least two entries that are half-done (well, a third done? a quarter? at least begun?) and quite a few more planned. The problem is that it takes time to write and revise those, and I find myself squeezed for time; whereas I can write, revise, and memorize haikus while sweeping the driveway, doing dishes, cleaning the toilet, and so forth. I can write sentences in my head or think of aspects of performances I want to talk about, but then I have to cram all those things together, like piecing a crazy quilt. You know what I'm talking about.

I love it! :) And you're definitely not the only one to do so. No Fancy Free this year. Now when I think of Fancy Free, I think of your musings of how long a modern day woman would call police if three men tossed her purse around.

I was looking at the schedule yesterday and I realized that I was confusing Fancy Free, which as you point out is not being done this year, with the West Side Story Suite, which I also really don't want to see again. I guess they just melded into that mental "Bernstein meh" category for me.
