And you can tell she's dancing, which is amazing to me, given that it's carved in stone.
She seems to be wearing shoes of some sort, but they don't seem to be attached in any way.

It's the draperies.
I think if you look very closely you can see a loop around her big toe, which is how the sandals are attached -- the link in the entry will bring you to the Metropolitan Museum's entry on this statue, and you can zoom their picture to check. Or I could do that, when I'm in a place where I can do that.
