Well, judging IS Santa's job, after all. 37 of them judging me from Macy's is still less unsettling than being judged while I sleep.
I'd love to hear your take on the Herald Square windows. The designer is one of my dearest friends' other half, and I never get to NYC to see his work.
Sibyl, I thought I'd have a chance to respond sooner. . . I do have a photo of the outside of Macy's that I hope to post (if it looks OK), but it doesn't show the windows very well. And I have to admit -- I barely got to see them. The crowds in front of the windows of all the big department stores were usually so massive I not only didn't get a good look at the windows, I sometimes had to cross the street to get past them. I did go into Macy's, which was also insanely crowded.

What's funny is the mass produced Santas somehow each seem to have a different personality.
Uh, are you sure you're getting enough rest?
All those santas are watching you -- and judging!
