Between the latest haikus, that photo of the former pigeon, and your account of repetitive time/motion/music, I'm starting to worry. Be strong, Patrick, be strong.
"Formal properties" are one of the reasons I like Ansel Adams and you don't. There's no reason in particular for you to admire them, if you don't; I was being comical, in that endearing way I have.
My Dearest Patrick: And so was I (being comical). Your pigeon photo is quite fab, to tell you the truth, for reasons that go quite beyond Formal Properties.

I hope you at least admired the formal properties of the photograph of a former pigeon.
What are "formal properties," and why should I be admiring them? Please, do explain.
