Haiku 103

Bloody bus-smashed bird
Anatomized on asphalt
Pigeons peck its heart

*******

Do I hear church bells
Through sealed skyscraper windows
Or just more traffic

I don't think I will make a piece based on that first haiku.

Younger 103 reminds me of hiking in the wilds of Vermont and not being able to help looking back every so often. I finally figured out that the sound of the trees in the woods sounded a lot like traffic coming up behind me.

On another note, the bells seem to be tolling for everyone -- except WF, where you probably heard them.

Libby,
It was quite colorful, though. The dead bird was also a pigeon, so there was a bit of cannibalism in the scene, but I didn't quite manage to work that in.

Shushu,
Ah, the soothing sounds of traffic! It's difficult to sleep sometimes without the sound of smashing glass. . .
