Haiku 109

When I shut my eyes
Tangled weeds I pulled today
Reappear like ghosts

(This is not metaphorical, by the way, but a physiological phenomenon I have often experienced.)

    Is it like an afterimage when you stare at something for so long? Maybe the sun? I have read that when you stare at a color and then look away you can perceive the afterimage of the compliment hue.
